Invisalign® Invisible Braces
Clear Alternative to Traditional Albert Lea Orthodontics
At George Lundstrom, DDS, we use Invisalign clear braces to provide a straightening solution that is an alternative to traditional braces. Using a series of clear, removable aligners, Invisalign allows you to enjoy a beautiful smile while enhancing your oral health.
As a certified Minnesota Invisalign invisible braces provider, George Lundstrom, DDS offers you high-quality care combined with time efficient visits as we aim to enhance your unique and confident smile with Invisalign aligners.
Issues Resolved by Invisalign Clear Braces:
Overly Crowded Teeth:
The mouth lacks the room to naturally fit all of the teeth, which may result in dental decay, increased susceptibility to gum disease, and the prevention of normal tooth function.
Widely Spaced Teeth:
Spacing issues can lead to various diseases in the structures surrounding and supporting the teeth.
The upper teeth bite on the inside of the lower teeth in the front or sides of the mouth, which may cause tooth wear, gum disease, and bone loss.
The upper teeth extend far over the lower teeth, which can result in gum problems or irritation, lower tooth wear, and painful jaw and joint issues.
The lower teeth extend past the upper front teeth, which may lead to tooth wear, painful jaw and joint problems, and the prevention of normal tooth function.
Additionally, Invisalign clear braces can be used in connection with cosmetic dentistry to position your teeth in a more ideal location for further treatment. Learn what Invisalign invisible braces can do for you at an Invisalign consultation in our Albert Lea area office.
Benefits of Invisalign Invisible Braces
Invisalign invisible braces are carefully designed with smooth edges to ensure that your gums and cheeks will not get snagged or irritated by metal wires and brackets.
Invisalign clear braces offer an accommodating solution that adapts to your lifestyle. Unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign clear braces may be removed to allow for eating, drinking, flossing, brushing, or even an occasional special event. As a family friendly Albert Lea practice, we understand the need for flexibility as you incorporate dental care into your busy lifestyle.
While most traditional braces take 18-24 months, Invisalign invisible braces generally take less than a year, although this may vary depending on your specific needs. Without wires to tighten and adjustments to make, you will not have to spend as much time for office visits either. Dr. George Lundstrom can offer you high-quality care combined with time-efficient visits.
Customized For You
After taking digital images of your teeth, Dr. George Lundstrom will custom design Invisalign aligners for your mouth with a personalized step-by-step movement plan tailored to your situation. At George Lundstrom, DDS, we aim to help you achieve and enhance your unique smile.
No need to worry about hiding your smile while wearing clear braces. Invisalign allows your natural teeth to show through the transparent aligners, making it difficult for others to detect that you are wearing them. At George Lundstrom, DDS, we care about your confidence not only after, but also throughout the teeth adjustment process.
You can feel secure choosing Invisalign clear braces because you will see the projected results even before starting the alignment process. After taking impressions of your teeth, we use the latest technology to create a digital image of each stage of the straightening process so you can see your new smile before treatments begin.
What Is The Invisalign Process?
Initial Consultation with Dr. George Lundstrom
At this first visit, Dr. George Lundstrom will assess your situation and goals to determine whether Invisalign is the best option for you. If so, we will take digital photographs and x-rays of your teeth to help us map out your Invisalign treatment plan.
Dr. George Lundstrom Will Map Out A Customized Treatment Plan
Using 3-D digital images of your mouth, Dr. George Lundstrom will plan the stages of your tooth movement and to custom design a series of aligners that will straighten your teeth by degrees. We will show you a virtual image of the results you can expect, and then assist you in reaching that outcome.
You will switch your Invisalign aligner about every two weeks for a new aligner that is molded specifically to shift your teeth to the next mapped out location. The number of aligners will vary depending on your situation, however the average treatment generally involves 20-30 aligners per arch. Periodically you will come in to receive the next set of aligners and to mark your progress towards achieving the smile you have always wanted.
